ZeQuiz's 6 keywords

WordDefinition
LibraryThe entire collection of quizzes created by the ZeQuiz team, available to all accounts. You can draw questions or entire quizzes from it to reuse in your own quizzes.
QuizA set of questions grouped under a title (e.g., "80s Music," "General Knowledge"). This is the content unit. You can create your own quiz or pick one from the library. You'll find quiz types such as Question/Answer, Drawing, or Categories.
QuestionA question forming part of a quiz. Text-only, with image, with music, multiple images, "finish the lyrics," multiple-choice or open-ended answer…
GameThe game container: this is where you assemble one or more quizzes (or pick-and-choose questions), select the game mode (live, hosted, automatic, or delayed), and break the game down into rounds. A "game" here refers to a configuration, not a match that has actually been played yet.
RoundA segment within a game. Each round can have its own mode, type, and set of questions. You string rounds together to structure your evening. Depending on the round mode (Q&A, categories, drawing), you can choose the type: timer, point loss, battle royale, flexi-quiz, etc.
Game sessionA specific instance of a game in progress. It is the entity that has a URL, a QR code, a validity period (ranging from 24 hours for live games to one month for delayed ones), and connected players. You create a session based on a game, launch it, and then close it.

What the player sees

WordDefinition
GamepadThe game interface on the player's phone: this is where they read the questions, answer, manage their team, and activate their powers. Each player has their own controller.
Game screenThe projected screen (TV, video projector, or shared via video call) that all players watch: questions, scores, animations, QR code. This is the "public" screen.

What the host sees

WordDefinition
Hosting consoleThe host's control interface: launching questions, managing players, displaying scores, activating modes, and managing teams. This is the organizer's "private" screen, separate from the game screen. It is also the screen used to play the audio if you have chosen music-based questions.
RemoteThe mobile version of the facilitation console, accessible from the facilitator's phone. It allows for managing the session without having to stay at the computer.
Remote visio conference modeA dedicated tab within the game-running screen, designed for remote sessions: it prepares the game display and audio for sharing via video conferencing tools (Zoom, Teams, OBS/Streamlabs, etc.). The audio output comes from this tab.
