Host a game

Once the setup is ready, the game follows four main steps:

Launch the Session

Create a new session. Follow the on-screen tutorial (if you need to review it, click the question mark icon at the top). Depending on your chosen configuration:

  • Get the Game Screen URL and open it in a separate browser window to display it for the players.
  • Click Chromecast to cast the game screen.
  • If you are hosting via video call, click "Presentation Mode" at the top right (if you do this, make sure to get the Remote URL beforehand so you can open it in a separate window for yourself).

Players join the game by scanning the code with their phone or tablet, or by using the link!ur téléphone ou tablette ou récupèrent le lien pour rejoindre la partie !

Track the Players

On the hosting screen, you can see who is connected and who is on which team (if you have enabled teams). Once everyone is in, you can launch!

Host the Questions

  • Manual Mode: You set the pace. Launch questions one by one and display the scores whenever you like. Keep in mind that you may need to manually validate answers depending on the question types you used!
  • Automatic Mode: ZeQuiz handles the sequence. Just sit back and enjoy the hosting!
  • You can display in real-time: current scores (for the entire game or specific rounds), incorrect answers, or players who failed the current question.

End the Game

Once the game is over, you can display the final scores and send individual statistics to each player!

Export the leaderboard as an image to share on social media, or export it as an Excel file if you need to analyze the results.

Field Tips

  • Test the sound and internet connection BEFORE the players arrive: a silent blind test is the death of any party.
  • Keep your remote handy: you can host from your phone, so there's no need to stay glued to the PC.
  • Activate the "rules" that fit your event: use "Point Loss" to discourage reflexive clicking, "Battle Royale" for eliminations, etc.
  • Switch between different rounds to vary the modes and keep the energy high.
  • At the end, export the leaderboard as an image (for Instagram) and as an Excel file (for stats/customer loyalty).
  • If a player loses their connection during a question, they simply need to refresh their screen; they will lose a few seconds but can resume right where they left off.
